The Heart Space journey invites us to expand our systems’ capacity to remain present with whatever arises. Our systems’ parts can become overwhelmed, polarized, or extreme in the face of the demands of daily life.
Through Heart Space, we learn how to build trust in Self to calmly presence the body, compassionately witness intense emotion, and courageously allow for the unexpected ways personal growth and spiritual emergence unfold. This retreat offers a unique opportunity to cultivate this Self-led trust within a structured container of reciprocal learning and practice.
Pre-Retreat Zoom Call: Welcome to Heart Space
In the week before our retreat, we’ll meet for a 2-hour Zoom call to get to know each other, discuss the agenda, and prepare for our time together. We’ll speak for our parts, engage in IFS practices, and open more room for Self-energy leading into the retreat.
Day 1: Laying the groundwork
Opening up our heart space requires us to come into deep contact with all of our parts and expand the capacity of our system to hold whatever arises. On day 1, we’ll get to know each other better and help our parts relax back and trust the Self-energy inside and outside. We’ll do this through authentic relating practices, breathwork, and group sharing.
Day 2: The first medicine session
On our second day together, we'll enter the sacred container of immersive facilitation. The key learning for this first ceremony is relaxing around the heart space and tending to parts analyzing, guarding, and holding agendas. Through somatic practices in the morning, group connection practices before the ceremony, and a safe, heart-based ceremony, your parts will be able to witness the gentle power of Self-energy in the heart space.
Day 3: Effortless heart space & the second medicine session
On Day 3, the key learnings are around the fullness and power of effortless heart-based integration. We will begin with somatic practices that drop us into the body, followed by group processing facilitated by Justin and Alexa. We’ll then get out into the beautiful nature of Sedona for a gentle hike. In the afternoon, we’ll gather for our second ceremony which will draw us deeper into the day’s learning of effortless integration.
Day 4: Integration and embodiment
Our final day is dedicated to weaving together the threads of our shared experience. Through somatic practices, IFS practices, and collaborative wisdom-gathering, we'll begin the process of easing back into our daily lives. You'll leave with not only a greater understanding but an embodied knowing of how to allow for more heart space in your body, your being, and your life.
Post-Retreat Zoom Call: Reflections on Self-Energy Facilitation
In the week after our retreat, we’ll meet for a 2-hour Zoom call to connect, debrief, and reflect. Just like in our pre-retreat call, we’ll speak for our parts, engage in some connecting IFS practices, and open more room for your heart-based Self-energy!
